Consulting team reviewing strategy in a boardroom

Management & strategy consulting

Decisions that move the numbers.

We are a strategy and operations consulting firm. We work shoulder to shoulder with leadership teams to set direction, lift performance, and make change stick — measured in margin, growth, and cash, not slides.

Who we are

A firm built for accountability

We believe advice is only worth what it changes. Our job is to find the two or three moves that matter most for a business — and then stay in the room until they show up in the results.

Northbridge Partners was founded in 2003 by a group of operators and strategists who had grown tired of the same pattern: a thick report, a confident presentation, and a client left to implement alone. We started this firm on a different premise — that a consultant should be judged by the same yardstick as the executive who hires them. Did the plan work? Did the numbers move? Would you hire us again? Everything about how we staff, scope, and price an engagement flows from those three questions.

We work across four disciplines that reinforce one another — corporate and growth strategy, operations and performance, digital transformation, and M&A advisory. Most of the problems worth solving cut across all four. A growth strategy that ignores the cost to serve is a wish; a transformation program with no operating model behind it is an expense. Because our partners have run businesses, not just advised them, we tend to see the whole board rather than a single square, and we say so plainly when a client is about to spend money in the wrong place.

How we staff

Senior and small, on purpose

We staff senior and stay small. The partner who wins the work is the partner who does the work, side by side with a lean team and your own people. That means fewer engagements at once, more time on each, and a level of ownership larger firms structurally cannot offer. If you want a vendor who leaves a document, we are the wrong choice. If you want a partner who will argue for the hard, right decision and then help you execute it, we should talk.

Have a case like these?

Walk us through it in one call — we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right firm.

What we do

Four disciplines, one point of view

Most engagements draw on more than one of these. We staff the right mix, led by a partner who owns the result from first call to final handoff.

Strategy

Corporate, growth, and portfolio strategy grounded in real market economics — where to play, how to win, and what to stop doing.

Operations

Cost, cash, and performance. We rebuild the operating model, supply chain, and P&L structure so the improvement holds after we leave.

Digital transformation

Technology and data programs anchored to business value — modern platforms, clean data, and the operating model to run them.

M&A advisory

Commercial diligence, valuation support, and integration planning that protect the thesis and capture the synergies you paid for.

How we work

Three things that never change

Senior by default

The partner who scopes your engagement leads it, in the room, every week. No pyramid of juniors learning on your budget — the experience you hire is the experience you get.

Accountable to results

We agree the metrics that define success before we start, and we report against them without spin. Where it fits, a share of our fee rides on the outcome we deliver.

Built to outlast us

A recommendation nobody can run is worthless. We transfer the tools, the models, and the capability so your team owns the gains long after the engagement closes.

In their words

What clients say

We'd rather let the leaders we've worked with do the talking. Here's a little of what they've told us.

They didn't hand us a deck and disappear. Their team sat with our operators for three months and left us with a margin structure we still run today. The numbers held through two down quarters.

Most advisors tell you what you already suspect. Northbridge told us the uncomfortable thing — and then stayed to help us fix it. Our board finally has a strategy it believes in.
Group Chief Financial OfficerAtlas Logistics
We ran a competitive process for the acquisition and their diligence caught a working-capital hole nobody else saw. That single finding paid for the entire engagement several times over.
